How it works
- Drop a photo, or many, or a ZIP, for a batch. The panel immediately shows what it found: location, camera, dates.
- Choose whether to keep the colour profile (recommended); everything else goes.
- Download the cleaned file, or the whole batch as a ZIP. Same pixels, none of the metadata.
Questions
- Does my file get uploaded?
- No. The models and all processing run inside your browser on your own device. You can verify this yourself: open your browser’s DevTools, watch the Network tab, and process a file: there are no uploads. After the first visit most tools also work fully offline.
- Does removing metadata change the image quality?
- No. The metadata lives in separate sections of the file; this tool splices those sections out without re-encoding, so the pixels are bit-for-bit identical. That is verified automatically for every supported format.
- Which formats are supported?
- JPEG, PNG and WebP. Anything the tool cannot parse safely is left completely untouched and it tells you so, because a metadata remover that corrupts files would be worse than none.
- Why does this matter?
- A photo taken at home and shared online can contain your exact coordinates. Social networks usually strip metadata on upload, but files shared by email, chat or cloud drives keep everything.
